Bushies launches strategic plan
Bushies has launched its new strategic plan, marking a new phase in its evolution and growth.
The North East Bushrangers Basketball Club Strategic Plan 2025 – 2028 has been developed to guide the efforts of the organisation over the coming three years, providing a framework that supports it to become a strong, sustainable and credible organisation, capable of providing appropriate pathways for the region’s elite basketballers.
“Bushies plays a critical role in providing basketballers from around the North East region with the opportunity to participate in a high-quality regional program, benefitting from both targeted training and regular competition against metropolitan and regional teams,” said Amber Gardner, Bushies Board Member.
“To ensure that Bushies continues to be a strong club capable of supporting a thriving regional basketball scene, it’s critical that it has a clear strategic vision that delivers on its organisational objectives.
The Strategy outlines key three focus areas critical to Club success:
Establish NEB as a strong and sustainable organisation capable of supporting the future of its players
Deliver first class training programs led by high quality coaches that enable players to realise their basketball goals
Proactively drive awareness of the NEB program and its credentials to encourage regional participation
By realising these objectives, the Club aims to build its membership base, increase its capacity to invest in its operations and organisational growth an diversify its teams.
“This is a big step forwards for Bushies, signifying a new phase or maturity for Club and its commitment the development of first-class basketballers across the region,” Gardner said.
