At Bushies, we look for players that have the right skill set, potential and attitude to wear the black and purple!

Bushies try-outs are held in October each year where both current and new players are assessed to join the team. Currently Bushies players compete in under 14, 16 and 18 age groups in a mix of boys and girls divisions. The aim for future seasons is to also have teams in the under 20 age group.

Those who make it into a Bushies team will represent the region in VJBL over a 40 week season, which includes Friday night games held at locations within a 200km of radius of the Bushies home court (Benalla),  and one training session in-region each week. It’s a big commitment but one that is critical in supporting players on their journey to become top athletes.
