Bushies provides basketballers from around the North East region with the opportunity to participate in a high-quality regional program, benefitting from both targeted training and regular competition against metropolitan and regional teams.

Involvement in the Bushies program enables players to further develop their skills through regular practice of their sport, placing them in a stronger position to leverage other elite programs and leagues. This includes the Future Develop Program, the State Development Program, Australian Junior Country Cup and Australian Nationals, as well as assisting players to transition into University and College teams and senior competitions like the Big V and Country Basketball League.

In this way, Bushies aims to provide North East athletes with the opportunity to play basketball at the highest level of competition relevant to their age group.
